Vladimir Sergeev graduated in 1992 from The Law Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Before passing the bar, he worked in a Russian-American joint venture company, a Japanese company and as the head of legal department in a commercial bank. Sergeev is a member of the Moscow Chamber of Advocates and has been in Padva & Partners since 1997.

Vladimir Sergeev works on criminal cases with charges related to clients' econimics and business activities including such offenses as tax evasion, illegal enterpreneurship, fraud, money laundering and bribary. He has experience working together with foreign lawyers defending Russian citizen charged abroad.

Sergeev represents clients' interests in general jurisdiction courts, courts of arbitration and arbitration tribunals. Sergeev consults coprorate clients on various topics including privatization, brankruptsy, taxing and budgeting regulations. He has experience in conducting legal audits and participated in lawmaking projects. Sergeev also worked on projects for loan restructuring and executing court decisions of foreign arbitration courts.

Sergeev has publications covering tax laws.

Sergeev is fluent in English.
