Genrikh P. Padva graduated in 1953 from Moscow Law Institute with a law degree and in 1961 from Kalinin Pedagogical Institute with a degree in history. He has worked as advocate since 1953 and has been a member of the Moscow City Bar since 1971. He is one of the founders and currently is the Managing Partner of Padva & Partners, Attorneys at Law.

At present he is also a member of the Central Council of the Russian Lawyers Association, a member of the Academic Council of the Chamber of Advocates of the Russian Federation, and a member of the Council of the Moscow Chamber of Advocates. Genrikh P. Padva played initiators role increation of the Union of Advocates of the USSR (currently known as the International Union (Commonwealth) of Advocates), where he holds the vice-president position, bringing together attorneys at law from Russia and the former republics of the Soviet Union.

Genrikh P. Padva carries out defense in criminal cases during investigation phase and in court; represents clients in state arbitration courts and general jurisdiction courts on a variety of cases including defense of honor and reputation, shareholder rights, inheritance. He also provides consultations to corporate clients on a number of business matters such as protection of investments, owners' rights, anti-monopoly law, etc.

Genrikh P. Padva is the author of numerous publications on various law topics and about advocacy in Russia.

Genrikh P. Padva has been awarded The Honored Laywer of Russia, Cavalier of The "Public Recognition" Honor Mark and The Plevako Gold Medal. Padva's name appeared many times in the Russian top advocates list and in the International magazine "Who's Who of Professionals". In 2001, he was called The Man of the Year in Law category by the Rambler poll.
