The professional interests of Timur Onikov lie at the joining of private and public law, in the field of protection of his clients in disputes with the state, consulting of public-private partnership (PPP) projects.

Timur also practices in the area of corporate relations and contractual obligations, insolvency (bankruptcy) law. In his corporate practice Timur acts on behalf of companies and groups of private shareholders and creditors. Timur Onikov has an extensive experience of representation in Russian courts and international commercial arbitration in various kinds of disputes, including disputes with the Russian Federation. Timur participated in constitutional court proceedings on behalf of a vice governor of one of Russia’s subjects of the federation. Timur’s experience includes legal support of complex projects in the area of development of energy infrastructure and monopoly reforms, preparation of legal opinions for major international companies.

Timur Onikov graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy in 1998 and has obtained a Candidate of Science degree from the Russian State Social University two years later. He joined Padva & Partners in 1999 after working for Chadbourne & Parke LLP. He is admitted to the Moscow Chamber of Advocates.
